Italian-made cuckoo clock, designed by Giovanni Pirondini. The shape mimics the form of traditional chalet cuckoo clocks, its simple lines accented by the smooth broad surround of the clock face and cuckoo house. The broad black hands continue to complement the theme.
The pendulum is triangular in shape, again continuing the design of the clock.
The clock is made from silver/aluminium-coloured lacquered MDF with the detail in ebony-coloured solid beechwood.
The clock strikes each hour with the call of a cuckoo, an echo, and the sounds of a forest and brook in the background; the sound can be turned off and has two volume settings (using the little switch in the lower section of the clock). At night, as soon as the room is darkened, a sensor automatically switches the sounds off, to ensure you do not get disturbed.
